Canyonleigh is a country hide-away steeped in history and natural beauty located in the Southern Highlands, NSW. The Beauty of a wilderness in Sydney's backyard; Canyonleigh is not a town, it is a 300 square kilometre area in the heart of the Wollondilly Ranges. It is only an hour and a half’s easy drive down the M5 Expressway from Sydney or Canberra.
With its heavily timbered areas and pastoral lands, Canyonleigh has long been a source of timber and agriculture in the Southern Highlands. Its residents have moved to Canyonleigh, attracted by the relaxed lifestyle and the freedom of vast open spaces. This idyllic community offers its residents the choice between community daily to the cities and towns for shopping and work; working on or playing on the land, retiring to a quiet country lifestyle or a combination of all these options.
With the abundance of natural bushland comes our greatest asset; the native wildlife. As you drive through the picturesque roads of Canyonleigh be on the lookout for Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, goannas, bush bats and a myriad of vivid wild birds. At Canyonleigh, you will experience a happy blend of resident natural flora and fauna existing alongside the human residents.
Canyonleigh offers a wonderful General Store and Café, open every Tuesday to Sunday and selling local produce including a variety of wines and olive oil plus a rural fire service and community first responders.
